I have always felt completely compelled to create things with my hands.

Now…

Then…
But while I graduated from Cal State East Bay with a B.A. in art studio, I never quite felt that I found my particular medium, so to speak. Looking back on it all now, that was probably a good thing–forcing me to spend many years exploring all kinds of materials and ideas.
After traumatically losing my youngest brother in 2011, art became the only tangible way to express the immense depth of my grief. It was as if the pain and sorrow leaked out through my fingertips.
For many years now, I’ve been working in encaustics, graphite pencil, mosaics, and mixed media collage. Since 2020 (the pandemic and a battle with breast cancer) I’ve focused my energies on working in pastels and oils. My passion and pursuit is to create art that offers comfort, hope, and beauty to others. For more information, email me at pabragg64@gmail.com.
